Tara Whitten receiving her 2nd World Championship jersey and gold medal at the World Track Cycling Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark yesterday.
Tara was the champion in both the Points race and the Women’s Omnium events in track cycling. She will wear the rainbow jersey at all track events for one year identifying her as the world champion.
Tara is a born and raised in Edmonton and still calls our great city home. She is a member of the Velocity Cycling Club and attends the University of Alberta.
The Argyll Velodrome Association is having its CASINO on April 9 and 10th. This casino is 100% volunteer oriented and the money generated from it pays for all the operating costs of the velodrome itself.
